Regis College Head Swim Coach:
Mindy Williams
Melinda (Mindy) Williams took over the reigns as Head Coach for Women’s Swimming and Diving at Regis in July of 2004. In addition, in November of 2006, Coach Williams accepted the role of the inaugural Men’s Swimming and Diving Program, officially competing as a varsity program in the 2007-08 academic year.
Coach Williams, a native of Vermont, is a graduate from Colby College. Prior to her appointment at Regis, Coach Williams held the position of assistant coach of both swimming and water polo at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn., and is currently the head coach of the Vergennes (Vermont) Swim Team, a summer youth program.
While at Colby College, Coach Williams competed at the varsity level for four years and was a NCAA Qualifier in 2000 and 2003 in the 1650, 500 and 400 Individual Medley events. She was the NESCAC Runner-up in 2003 in the 1650 freestyle and won All-NESCAC honors in the 1650, 500 and 200 freestyle relay. In addition to her coaching duties, Coach Williams will also serve as the department’s Aquatics Director.
Regis Assistant Swim Coach:
Ethan Treat
Ethan Treat is the Assistant Coach for the Regis College swim team. A native of Newton MA, he graduated from Amherst College where he swam for four seasons and captained the team his senior year. Ethan qualified for the NCAA national championships each season in the 200 and 400 IM's and the 200 Fly. He was an NCAA top-three finisher three times and earned seven All-American Awards during his careen at Amherst College. At the conference level, Ethan was the NESCAC (New England Small Conference Athletic Conference) champion five times, and he set conference records in the 200 and 400 IM's as well as the 200 Fly.
Over the past eight years, Ethan has been a technique instructor at a variety of swim camps, clinics, and clubs. He has worked extensively with children and adolescents at both public and private school settings.
Regis College Head Athletic Trainer:
Devin Cashman
Devin Cashman has served as Head Athletic Trainer since 2001. A native of Needham, Mass., Devin received his undergraduate degree from Keene State College in 1996 and master's degree from Northeastern University. Devin has spent considerable time doing research on sudden death in athletes.
Cashman is very active competing in triathlons of all distances in his free time and has served as assistant trainer with Boston College for three years prior to his arrival at Regis.
